Installing the BipperKids app should only take a couple of minutes. Follow these steps and you should be good to go in no time!
-
Look for the app store symbol on your child's phone. For Android, it looks like this:
- Search for BipperKids. If it doesn't appear in the app store, you have a phone that is not supported.
- Download the app by clicking 'FREE', then 'OK' to accept permissions. Among other things, we ask for permission to let the app send SMSes if the safety alarm is set off.
- You need to sign up or log into the app to complete the installation. Most importantly, we need your name and email to register your account, and we need your child's name and phone number to link it to your account and online summary reports.
-
Select contacts who will be Guardians for your child's safety alarm. All Guardians will receive an SMS with a link to a map showing the phone's position when the alarm is triggered. One primary Guardian will also be called up.
- The orange SMS symbol means that the contact will receive an SMS, and the orange phone symbol indicates who is the primary Guardian who will receive a call in addition to SMSes.
- Click 'Done' and the app is completely installed!
You will now start receiving email reminders about reports being available in the online portal. You can log in at any time to check status.
Note that data can be up to 24 hrs delayed, so this is not a real-time tracking service.
