After installing the BipperKids app on your child's phone, we recommend you review the functionality of the app together.
Here's a quick list of things to look at together:
Phone Calls:
Click on the phone icon in the app to make calls. You can also use the phone's regular Dialer app.
Messages:
Click on the messages icon in the app to send SMS and MMS. If you click on the phone's regular Messaging app, it will be blocked and reroute you directly to the Bipper Messaging app.
Safety Alarm:
Press the SOS icon to trigger the safety alarm. There is a 5-second cancel window if the alarm icon is pressed by mistake. When the alarm is set off, all Guardians are contacted by SMS with information that the alarm has been turned on and a link to a map showing where the phone is. In addition, one primary Guardian is called up. The Guardian list is available in the app if you want to change who's on the list.
Control services:
You can upgrade to various control services in the web portal. If the app has been upgraded to control usage of the phone, the usage limits will appear on the app's main screen so your child can keep track on his/her own. In addition, messages will appear if there is communication after usage limits have been exceeded, if blocked apps are opened, if blocked contacts are contacted, or if a location search is performed.
Reports:
The app lets parents stay informed about how the phone is used by sending daily report to the online portal. Data can be up to 24 hrs delayed, so this is not a real-time tracking service.
